A Few Words

Lots of people want to be pilots. There’s something very romantic about being able to soar through the sky like a bird. I should tell you that as an actual pilot, you don’t feel anything like a bird. In fact, birds become obstacles in the air for you, which is something that I have learned the hard way. Flying a plane involves using a lot of different controls, and it almost always feels like the plane is doing all of the work even when the work you’re doing is tough. However, there is always something incredibly exhilarating about getting into the air and seeing all of the world down below you. I would love to help other people experience that.

Becoming a pilot is tough. People who have certain vision problems will never make it as pilots. If you want to be an airline pilot, you’ll be older before you’re really established in the field. Pilots have a stressful job, and aviator school is as grueling as any other type of professional school even if you do get to spend a lot of time in a plane. However, every second is worth it, even with birds.
